Week 7

What an exhausting... But EXCITING week we have had!! On Tuesday we had our first scan to make sure Baby T was healthy and to find out our due date... January 14th 2014!!!! The scan was amazing! I have never felt such .... Love... And joy.... For something so small that we have never met! The ultrasound tech put the cold gel on my belly and as soon as she put the machine on my belly we could see Baby T. He or she is beautiful and perfect! We could see the heartbeat beating away in the tiny chest and I couldn't help but cry! Knowing that we had created that little blueberry sized human was overwhelming! It finally felt real!

Here is Baby T!! As of Tuesday I was exactly 7 weeks and Baby T is 1.03cm long or a blueberry as Nick likes to call him or her!

So now for my official Weekly update and we have started belly bump photos.. Not that there is much of a bump at the moment!

How far along? 7 weeks (nearly 8 though)... I am confused about when to do the blog updates.. At the start of the week or the end when I have been through Week 7? I think I will do them on Saturdays so I can talk about the week that has happened!

What is the baby up to this week? Baby T has doubled in size this week! And now has little paddle like hands and feet (which i think we can just see on the scan) an appendix and a pancreas! There is also a little tail still which is shrinking every day! Baby T now has eyelid folds over their eyes which already have some colour (I think green!). So a big week for Baby T! No wonder I feel so sick! Baby T is growing so fast in there!

Maternity clothes? Still in normal clothes and no sign of bump. I have lost a bit of weight because of morning (all day) sickness!

Stretch marks? Nope! But at the rate my boobs are growing I am scared I will end up with some!

Sleep: Cannot get enough sleep! Between work and uni and the sickness I am absolutely exhausted. I like to tell Nick that it as full time job growing a baby inside me!

Best moment this week: Seeing our baby and its little heartbeat! It was magical! The ultrasound lady was so lovely and told us our little bubba was a healthy baby with a good heartbeat! And then she told us we were going to be a Mum and Dad! THAT WAS AMAZING! We hadn't shared the news with anyone yet so it was nice to have someone join in our excitement!

Miss Anything? I have been craving ham or turkey sandwiches but I can't eat deli meat while I'm pregnant :-(

Movement: Not for a long time yet.. but can't wait!

Food cravings: Vegemite on English muffins, raisin toast which has been my dinner the last few nights. Poor Nick has gone to so much effort to make me dinner that I 'felt' like but them once it was in front of me I got two mouthfuls down and had to run to the toilet to spew. And mandarins! I eat 2-3 a day because they make me feel better!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything!!!! Just the thought of real food makes my stomach flip.

Have you started to show yet: No!

Gender prediction: I think girl and Nick thinks boy!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but frustrated that I am having trouble enjoying this pregnancy!

Looking forward to: June 17th when we have our first midwife appointment!

Well that is all for this week!

Love from us (all 3 of us) xxoo
