Week 6: MORNING SICKNESS!!!!

Whoever called it 'morning' sickness was lying!! I have 24 hour a day sickness and the only rest I get from feeling like this is when I sleep. It is HORRIBLE!! I made the mistake of telling Nick I hadn't had any morning sickness and I might be one of those lucky ones that doesn't get any. BOY WAS I WRONG!! I haven't actually thrown up yet (although I think that might be better than this 24 hour nausea).. but from the moment I wake up the world is spinning and the thought of food makes me dry heave. I force breakfast down and feel a little better (for about half an hour) and then the waves of nausea come rolling back in.

I blame movies for making morning sickness seem 'cute'.. like one of those things that happens between 8am and 8:30am and then magically you are fine for the rest of the day. I can barely function. Getting up at 4:30am for work and having to pack food all day is not ideal either. I force food down because if I don't my whole body feels weak and makes work unbearable. BUT.... this ALL DAY sickness is a wonderful reminder that I am growing a human inside me! After the initial waves of nausea have hit I smile a little imagining my little baked bean sized baby in my belly.

Now onto my Week 6 update: I found a perfect little week by week pregnancy questionairre I can fill out each week to make sure I cover everything-

How far along? 6 weeks ( or nearly 7 if you ask Nick's iPhone apps!!.. we have bets going for next Tuesday when we have our dating scan.. Nick thinks the Dr is wrong since 'she doesn't have an app for that' ha ha)

Maternity clothes? Still in normal clothes

Stretch marks? No... will start on cocoa butter soon just to get my skin nice and stretchy for the bump to be)

Sleep: The constant nausea and needing to pee all the time wakes me up, but sleep is a great escape from the throw up feeling so I try to sleep as much as possible.

Best moment this week: Our nephew Koby Dee was born yesterday!! I can't wait to meet him on Friday!

Miss Anything? I would have thought coffee.. but even just writing that then made my stomach do back flips. Other than that.. I miss feeling like normal.

Movement: Not for a long time yet.. but can't wait!

Food cravings: Cup of soup (clear chicken noodle) is about all I can think of that doesn't make me heave.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything. But mainly scrambled eggs (anything eggs really).

Have you started to show yet: Nope and the bloating has gone down so I just look normal.

Gender prediction: I think girl (although I do like to joke that its one of each in there since I always wanted twins) and Nick is still undecided.

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but emotional- this nausea combined with the cold I have has made everything seem so hard.

Looking forward to: Tuesday week we get to see our little jelly bean and see the heartbeat! Also looking forward to going back home to see our family this week (although it is going to be very hard to hide this nausea!!).

Well that is all for now.. I am off to lay down since my breakfast has worn off and the nausea has kicked in.

Love from Us (all 3 of us) xxoo
