Week 11

Oh what an amazing week this has been!!! My morning sickness is only at bed time which is great since I am sleeping anyway! We have had an action packed week getting the house ready for our house sitter while we are honeymooning in Phuket! One of our friends had a spare ticket to P!nk this Monday and I can't wait!!! It will be Baby T's first concert so I will make sure to get a T-Shirt to show him or her one day! This time next week I will be Mrs. Tongue!! We will be dancing up a storm at our wedding while everyone is oblivious to the fact that I have our precious Baby in my belly! I can't wait to see everyone's face when we tell them on Sunday!

Here is my baby bump....or lack of bump!

How far along? 11 weeks

What is the baby up to this week? Measuring from the top of the head to the cute little butt the baby has all the vital parts now including toenails and teeth inside the gums! The fingers and toes are fully separated and moving around and now the baby just has to spend his or her days for the next 6 months getting bigger and stronger ready for life in the outside world!

Maternity clothes? Not yet although a pair of my high waisted jeans was a little snug on my belly yesterday... They fit everywhere else just tight on my belly!

Stretch marks? Nope! I smell like cocoa butter constantly though!

Sleep: Can't get enough! It gets to Friday and I am ready for a nap! I try not to nap in the day because I know I won't sleep at night but these days naps just take over!

Best moment this week: I had an amazingly vivid dream that we had a little boy and Ben and Carly's new little boy was born at the same time! I woke up so happy but so sad that I had woken up from such a beautiful dream! I can remember seeing his little face and showing him to his little cousin for the first time! Definitely made my heart melt and it was only a dream!

Miss Anything? Deli meat! I so badly want a ham and salad sandwich that it is becoming ridiculous! And a runny egg! A bacon and egg roll with BBQ sauce would be amazing!

Movement: Not for a long time yet BUT apparently if someone were to poke my belly Baby T will react to it and move away... I am hoping for some movement at our ultrasound!

Food cravings: Ham and salad sandwich with those weird mustard pickles! Mm mmmmmm. And watermelon still! I ate a quarter of a watermelon in one sitting yesterday!Anything making you queasy or sick: Still veggies and the smell of coffee!

Have you started to show yet: No!

Gender prediction: I think it is a girl but after my baby boy dream this week I can really picture Baby T as a handsome little boy!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: My hormones are driving me nuts! I am so emotional, I feel like crying at everything. I couldn't nap on Thursday because there were people talking out the front of my house VERY LOUDLY... I had to hold back from sobbing into my pillow.. Although that could have been a mixture of tiredness and hormones

Looking forward to: Tuesday at 12 week scan! I can't wait to see Baby T again!

Well that is all for now

Love from Us (all 3 of us) xxoo

Week 10

Double digits!!!! And only 2 weeks until our wedding!!! I can't wait! We can't wait to announce Baby T at the breakfast after the wedding! This week has felt very loooong and exhausting. I worked everyday plus trying to get as much study in as possible! I am VERY bloated this week and I think you can see a tiny little bloat bump in the photo!

How far along? 10 weeks!

What is the baby up to this week? Baby T has now completed the most crucial part of his or her development and is about 3cm long. Baby T is swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Tiny fingernails are forming and peach fuzz hair is all over the body. The arms and legs can bend now and cross over his or her tiny body.

Maternity clothes? Not yet but looking forward to having a big bump and getting to buy some new clothes.

Stretch marks? Nope!

Sleep: I feel so so sick of a night so have been going to bed at 7:30 only to lay in bed feeling like I am about to spew. It is horrible. But then I eventually fall asleep and it is bliss!

Best moment this week: Our first midwife appointment! The midwife we met with was so lovely and named Janette so I kept thinking of Nick's mum the whole time. It was her first day on the midwife ward so we had another lovely midwife in the room for the appointment. I had to be weighed and my height taken and to pee in a cup (which was mighty difficult since I had gone before we got there). We went through our family histories and confirmed our due date as 14th January and then got make our next appointments. We have our 12 week scan and blood test on Tuesday 2nd July and I can't wait to see our little bub again! And we have our 20 week scan on 28th August when we hopefully find out if Baby T is a girl or a boy!

Miss Anything? Being able to wear a real bra! I have had to buy a few of those Aah bras without wires because my boobs (sorry for the detail ha ha) are so BIG and sore! I can hardly roll over in bed without wincing in pain. And I am pretty sure they have already more than doubled in size! I hate to imagine what they will be like by the end! I am seriously concerned they won't fit in my wedding dress!

Movement: Not for a long time yet :-(

Food cravings: Fresh rice paper rolls with sweet chilli sauce! Mmmmm!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still veggies but now peanut butter too!

Have you started to show yet: No!

Gender prediction: Still girl.

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!

Looking forward to: July 2nd at 4pm when we get to see Baby T again! That day will also be the last day of my exams so a day to celebrate!

Well that is all for this week.

Love from Us (all 3 of us) xoxo

Week 9

We have had an action packed week which has been so much easier now that I am feeling ALOT better. Still tired but only feel sick at night time which is a bit hard when it comes to dinner and i usually go to bed feeling like the world is spinning and my belly is gurgling! We started the week with breakfast at our favourite cafe in Gawler with our wonderful friends Rami and Lisa and one of their boys. We went to the Adelaide Night Markets and had a great time looking around at the Food Trucks..... I had a massive craving for Asian Noodles and the ones I ordered were exactly what Baby T wanted.

We finally (now that the sickness has started to slow down a little) got to use our $200 gift voucher that we we given as an engagement present from my school girls. It was for the fanciest Italian Restaurant I have ever been to. It was so special since we were celebrating our engagement and Baby T!! I celebrated with a mocktail Mojito which was even more delicious than one with alcohol!

Nick got a 1kg T-Bone and managed to finish it all even after our 5 entrees to share! I got a little excited and ordered a chicken meal only to have my belly be too full from the entrees and pasta.... So they let us take it home! And even offered he massive bone from Nick's steak to take home for Muscle Man... He was one VERY HAPPY puppy! They also surprised us with little congratulations chocolates.

Now onto the baby bump picture.... I think I you look really REALLY closely you can see a tiny bump (although I did eat a big breakfast so it could be that!!!)

How far along? 9 weeks!

What is the baby up to this week? The embryonic tail is completely gone and the eyes and eyelids a completely formed but fused shut! Baby T has tiny ear lobes now and nostrils on his or her tiny nose. Tiny teeth are beginning to form and Baby T's heart has finished dividing into its 4 chambers. The boy/girl bits are there but still can't be distinguished. All the essential body parts are there now just for some growing and fine tuning over the next 6 months!

Maternity clothes? Not yet. It seems crazy that I sent so much time (before Baby T) making sure I had a flat tummy and now I can't wait for a bump!

Stretch marks? Nope! :-)

Sleep: Love my sleep when I'm not getting up a few times a night to wee or not having super vivid dreams that make me think I am awake.

Best moment this week: Not spewing! This has been a great week since I can now get through the majority of the day without feeling like I am going to be sick.

Miss Anything? Not really.

Movement: Not for a long time yet :-(

Food cravings: Still salad with Greek dressing. And watermelon!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Pumpkin! Any veggies really! Which is hard since I am trying to eat a balanced healthy diet for Baby T

Have you started to show yet: No!

Gender prediction: Still girl.

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!

Looking forward to: June 17th when we have our first midwife appointment! And getting my exams out of the way so I can focus on OUR WEDDING!

Well that is all for this week.

Love from Us (all 3 of us) xoxo

Week 8

Welcome to Week 8!!!!!! My morning sickness has now become 3pm-bedtime sickness which is a lot better since it means I can get through the 8 hour shifts at work without having to run to the bathroom! Exhaustion is overwhelming this week though. The 4:30am wake ups for work are getting harder and by the time I finish work I only have just enough energy to get home, eat and collapse onto the lounge (or bed like yesterday when all I could do was sleep). BUT I can't sleep! It's a nasty cycle of being exhausted but can't sleep. I think it is mainly excitement at night as I close my eyes and imagine what Baby T will look like and be like! I am also loving our little secret... I feel like I must walk around work all day with a grin on my face as I keep thinking "I know something (actually SOMEONE) you don't know"... And I love doing something knowing Baby T is right there with me!

Here is my Baby bump and weekly update!

How far along? 8 weeks!!

What is the baby up to this week? Webbed fingers and toes and the little tail has nearly gone. The lungs are developing and it's little brain is getting its nerves. Baby T is apparently moving and shifting around in there and I can't wait to be able to feel that but from what I have read I won't feel until about 20 weeks though :-(

Maternity clothes? Still in normal clothes and no sign of bump yet... Hopefully I'm not showing too much by the wedding (4 weeks today!!!!!) since we are going to announce it the day after our wedding.

Stretch marks? Nope but have started rubbing lotion in to get prepared.

Sleep: Is not my friend this week. I am so tired but just cannot sleep.

Best moment this week: It was actually more of a strange moment.... My Nan expressed her disappointment to my parents that she had found out I was pregnant via someonenthat had seen it on Facebook OVER A MONTH AGO... Since Nick and I had only JUST found out then it was a massive coincidence that someone else and Nanny Merle had found at the same time us!! Also since our parents don't know yet... It made for one very awkward conversation where I made sure not to deny the pregnancy BUT since I had never put it on Facebook I could honestly and truthfully deny that Nanny Merle had seen it on there!! I think it feels even stranger since we are actually expecting!!

Miss Anything? Being able to twist my body... My sciatic nerve has been playing up this week and I walk around with a coins gang cramp down my back and butt!

Movement: Not for a long time yet.. but can't wait!

Food cravings: Salad... Mainly lettuce and tomato!! And pasta... I can't get enough plain pasta with a little sundried tomato pesto mixed in. And cereal with ice cold milk! My love of Greek yoghurt has returned this week too!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything with a super strong smell... Like curry and Chinese food!

Have you started to show yet: No!

Gender prediction: Everything leading up to the day before we found out leads me to think girl but I really don't mind as long as he or she is a healthy bubba!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! Not too emotional. I used to get very snappy when I had PMS but the hormones seem to playing nice with my emotions now.

Looking forward to: June 17th when we have our first midwife appointment! And our wedding in 4 weeks!! 4 weeks and I will be Mrs Tongue!

Well that is all for this week!

Love from us (all 3 of us) xxoo
